Heather was born in Langley Mill, Nottinghamshire. Now retired, she had a long career in hospital and community nursing. Latterly she worked as a Health Visitor.
Heather had her first children’s book published in 2020 entitled Su Squirrels Birthday.

There is much laughter over the surprise element in Marcus’s birthday gift for Su Squirrel. The friends make Su’s birthday a memorable occasion. Reluctantly, the friends have to make preparations to walk home after the party. The light is fading and the weather becomes wet and windy. Sheltering under large leaves, at the riverside, they are taken by surprise by a water vole.
